The Informatics and Telematics Institute (ITI) of Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit research organization under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) of the Greek Ministry of Development. Since March 2000, it is incorporated in the new Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas (also supervised by the GSRT) as one of its 5 constituent institutes.
