Aalto-HIIT
The Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) is a joint research institute of the two leading research universities in Finland, the University of Helsinki (UH) and the Helsinki University of Technology (TKK). TKK-HIIT currently has some 170 researchers and staff, conducting international and high-level strategic research in information technology and related multi-disciplinary topics, especially in areas where the Finnish IT industry has a significant role. It works in close co-operation with Finnish universities, research institutes, and industry, aiming at significant scientific impact that also benefits the industry. TKK-HIIT has a strong network of international partnerships with leading foreign research universities and institutions, including the University of California, Berkely (UCB) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). TKK-HIIT’s work is organised in long-term research programmes, each consisting of several cooperating research groups with a total of 25-40 researchers. Each programme has an advisory board consisting of representatives from both the industry and academia. TKK-HIIT has been a partner in many European Framework Program projects and in coordinating several international projects.

 | Dmitrij Lagutin Researcher dmitrij (dot) lagutin (a) hiit.fi | Dmitrij Lagutin is the project manager and postdoc researcher in the PURSUIT project. He received his M.Sc. (Tech) degree in 2005 and D.Sc. (Tech) degree in 2010 from Aalto University. His main interest are security, privacy and mobility issues of next-generation networks. |
 | Kari Visala Researcher kari (dot) visala (a) hiit.fi | Kari Visala is a researcher in PURSUIT project at HIIT and a PhD student at Aalto University. He is currently working on problems related to the inter-domain issues in information-centric networking and the design of the core architecture. He received his M.Sc. in Computer Science from Tampere University of Technology and has been working previously in industry, ranging from Nokia Research Center to an Internet startup, where he was one of the founders. Kari has won a silver medal in International Olympics in Informatics (IOI), is a European 4 dan go player, and ran his first marathon in 2011. |
 | Mark Ain Project Specialist mark(dot)ain(a)hiit(dot)fi | Mark is a project specialist at Aalto-HIIT and an independent management/ICT consultant. His main responsibilities in PURSUIT include general administration, marketing and dissemination, and contributing to deliverables and course instruction. Mark has worked in the industry throughout North America and the Nordics dealing predominantly in project and process management and ICT engineering. He received his M.M.Sc. in the Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo, his M.Sc. in Security and Mobile Computing from Aalto University (formerly the Helsinki University of Technology), and his postgraduate Diploma in Operational Research (D.O.R.) from the Canadian Operational Research Society. |
 | Rasib Khan Researcher rasibk(a)gmail(dot)com | Rasib H. Khan is a researcher at Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, Finland, in the EU FP7 PURSUIT project. He has completed two Master's degrees from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, and Aalto University (formerly Helsinki University of Technology), Finland, as an EU Erasmus Mundus Scholar. His areas of interest include cloud computing, information security, user centric identity management and future Internet technologies. |
